2. Do not sell or share my personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California and other US state privacy laws. Research clients receive answers in aggregate or without your name, unless you agree otherwise for a specific study.

We also honour Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of selling and sharing, and marketing cookies stay off.

3. Marketing emails

Tips and news emails are optional. You can stop them at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email or by emailing us. Study invitations and important account messages, such as payment updates, are part of being a member and are not marketing.

4. Your data rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Canada's PIPEDA, Brazil's LGPD, Singapore's PDPA, Australia's Privacy Act and South Africa's POPIA give you rights over your data. We offer these rights to all members, wherever they live:

  • Know and access what personal data we hold and how we use it.
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your data and close your account.
  • Download your data and take it to another service.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
  • Object to or limit some uses of your data.
  • Nominate a person to use your rights if you die or cannot act yourself.
  • Not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

5. How to make a request

  • Logged in, you can download your data and close your account yourself on your account page.
  • For anything else, use a button above, or email privacy@rewardhours.com from the email address on your account.
  • To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm your identity before we act. We only use that information to check your request.
  • We reply within one month, or sooner if the law where you live requires it. If a request is complex we will tell you why we need more time.
  • Making a request is free.

6. Asking for someone else

An authorised agent or a legal representative can make a request for you. We will ask for proof that they are allowed to act for you, and may also ask you to confirm the request.

7. If you are not happy

Please tell us first by replying to our answer, emailing privacy@rewardhours.com or sending a complaint, and we will review the decision. You can also complain to the privacy regulator where you live, for example:

  • European Union: your national data protection authority
  • United Kingdom: Information Commissioner's Office
  • India: Data Protection Board of India
  • California: California Privacy Protection Agency
  • Canada: Office of the Privacy Commissioner
  • Brazil: ANPD
  • Singapore: Personal Data Protection Commission
  • Australia: Office of the Australian Information Commissioner
  • South Africa: Information Regulator
